This success has prompted founder Steven Smith to consider expanding the company to include an online store and a personal line of beauty, food and health products. Morning oats 💪🏻 I went to see the @gamechangersmovie last night. I had been eagerly awaiting it coming out for way over a year since I learned about it being in production and I wasn’t disappointed. It showed with the science from the experts (many of my favourite doctors are in it) that you really don’t need to eat meat or animal products (eg. dairy, eggs, fish etc.) to be fit and strong. In fact it’s very much the opposite. The performance’s of the athletes in the film have all IMPROVED since going plant based and the movie goes into how we’ve been very much lied to over the decades about what is optimal nutrition for our fitness and health. . Most importantly through, the film goes into the health risks of eating animal based diets as and how plant based diets prevent us developing the biggest premature killers in the western world, heart disease, diabetes, stroke and many cancers. Something modern medicine doesn’t tell us, and all things I’ve learned for myself over the years which eventually lead me to stop eating animal products. . As equally important the movie illustrated very well the unbelievably immense scale of the environmental destruction that is caused by animal agriculture and how everyone going plant based would literally save our planet. I highly recommend watching it 💪🏻🌱 . . . . . Любитель я у @darkzip тырить рецепты, и его любимый это американский тыквенный пирог. Но он куда то пропал с его сайта, так что держите пп версию «потрясающего пирога с тыквенным пюре» Тыквенный пирог 160 ккал (5,5/25/4,5) Ингредиенты: Тыква 400 гр. Яблоко 100 гр. Банан 100 гр. Яйцо 2 шт. Мёд 20 гр. Кокосовое масло 20 гр. Овсяные хлопья 100 гр. Полбяная мука 150 гр. Разрыхлитель 5 гр. Сода Соль Корица 6 гр. Вода 20 мл. Сахарозаменитель 15 табл. Начнём с жидкой части. В первую очередь тушим яблоко и тыкву с разбавленным в воде сахарозаменительм. Когда тыква и яблоко станут мягкими, выкладываем их в чашу, добавляем банан и пробиваем блендером до состояния пюре. Дальше нам понадобится вторая чаша. Отделим белки яиц от желтков. Желтки — в чашу с пюре, белки — во вторую чашу. В белок добавляем мёд и взбиваем до высоких пиков. Когда белки станут густыми, тремя частями добавляем в них пюре, постоянно перемешивая. Теперь очередь сухой части. Пробиваем овсяные хлопья в муку, в них через сито просеиваем полбяную муку, добавляем разрыхлитель, соду, соль, корицу и тщательно перемешиваем. Соединяем сухую и жидкую части. Взбиваем их миксером. Quite interested in trying OMAD for the rest of the week. Last week I was on a sliding scale fast plan and I just found it rubbish. I didn’t feel great, I felt hungry when I wouldn’t normally. So I’m trying to find my balance. At the moment 16:8 with 1 extended fast a week seems to work well. So lately i will be honest, i havent been eating the greatest. Ive been pigging out, my meals have been to big, ive been over eating, not eating enough fruit, not drinking enough water, eating quite a large amount of bread when i know my body is all that fond of bread. BUT, now that i am sick (and i never get sick which is how i know i need to get my shit together again), i will start eating fresher, so no rice, less cooked foods and less cake (noooo😭). But this doesnt mean i cant treat myself, its all about balance! Dont torture your mind in the while working for a healthy body! This is what i had for lunch today, (higher protein with the black beans, tofurky and brocolli) i definitely could have skipped on the ‘tofurky chicken’ and rice to make this healthier but i whipped it up together on my 60 minute lunch break so i didnt have time to roast some veggies etc! All this was is black beans re boiled with coconut oil, garlic and himalayan salt, broccoli, basmati rice, tofurky and avocado! I definitely could have made this meal smaller but you live and you learn! Haha! If you guys have any questions at all feel friend to direct message us or drop any questions in the comments! I captured this shot this morning just after waking up. I am so grateful that this little puppy is in my life 💚😍🐕 That’s why I give him the best dog food to my knowledge. He’s been feasting 🤤 on it the past 2 years now. And we just got back from the vet‘s big blood check that included the check up of his organs. At first the vet didn’t understand why I wanted a check up, because Jonnie is so full of life, aware, clear and interested. I explained why and how I feed Jonnie. They were very curious about the results (like me). When Jonnie and I came back to pick up the results both vets told me how amazed they were by the results! They were so surprised, because they never met a vegan dog before and said that they don’t really know much about this type of feeding. So they started asking so many questions about what I eat and why as well...what a great trip to the doctor 👩🏻‍⚕️🐕💉🧬💌📄📍 👨‍⚕️💚 If you feed you dog the plantbased way make sure he gets enough B12, Omega3, Taurin and L-Carnitin. If you cook yourself use a supplement! 🧠 STROKE 🧠 This week we are chatting about some of the differences between men and women’s health risks. Did you know that simply being a woman puts you at higher risk for stroke? About 55,000 more women than men will have strokes this year. That is a freaking LOT OF WOMEN. Why?!? Estrogen. Some of you may know that birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy and pregnancy can raise the risk - and the reason is the shift in estrogen. It’s not the estrogen itself, it’s the actual changes in levels that can cause a clot leading to risk of stroke. Other risk factors for women include migraines (we know women have way more than men, again because of the damn hormones), atrial fibrillation (also more common in women), pregnancy and hormone replacement therapy. So to sum it up: hormones. GREAT. While some factors we can’t control, there are a ton we can. 1️⃣ Don’t smoke (although it’s 2019 so I don’t even know who smokes anymore ... you should already be embarrassed) 2️⃣ Exercise, even just a LITTLE is helpful 3️⃣ Eat better! Less animals, more plants. 4️⃣ Always discuss this stuff with your provider! 📷 from American Heart Association
