I used to be very adament on not having seconds with a meal while i was sick with my ED. This is my second bowl of cereal in one meal. ED me would be screaming and kicking if i did this. Present me is enjoying a bowl of one of her favorite cereal because she skipped lunch, it's a very hectic day at work, and even if it weren't for those reasons, why not have a second bowl? Where in the nondieting world does it say you can't do this? I'm not ravishingly hungry i just wanted something more than just a bowl of cereal...so i got two!! No shame in that. Might seem silly to some but I got this wee worry voodoo doll when I was referred back to eating disorder services in 2017, the tag read ‘to get you a better body & greater health’. I carry her with me in my jacket everyday, hence why she looks a bit haggard 😂 it’s so cute & just knowing it’s in my pocket gives me strength & sometimes when I’m out & feel anxious I just hold it. She’s called ‘energy piggy’ lol (the name she came with). Hoping she brings me strength & courage throughout my appointment tomorrow. 💪🏻♥️

I had 15 minutes and I needed to eat. No worries, I combined 3 parts of my PreppED meals for a delicious, super-fast dish of lemon garlic chicken, sweet potatoes and kale all quickly sautéed in a pan of olive oil. I sprinkled some nutritional yeast on top and inhaled! . Instead of grazing and snacking the afternoon away, I’m now full and feel good about it. Having meals and parts of meals to mix and match is so important in our crazy life. Between our work schedules and the kids’ activities, we are always moving. Just 10 minutes before this, I was sanding 200 year old floors, now I’m in a sundress at my son’s football game...and it’s only 4. The day is not even close to over, but at least I don’t have to worry about meals. Hiya guys! So, my night snack tonight was a weird one! I started off with 2 muffins (!!! I’ve never tried these before and they were SO good!!) but I was still hungry so then I had a blueberry activia yogurt (my favourite yogurt- I highly recommended them!!) and then I was still hungry so I had some popcorn!!! This has been tough to do- honouring my bodies hunger is still something I find really difficult. I feel like I’ve had too much but do you know what I think this is ok! Great post workout breakfast 😉🙌🏻 I used @rootznutrition chocolate banana superfood protein to make these. Code: FITNHEALTHY for 10% off their site. Recipe: 2 eggs 1/4 cup of coconut flour 3/4 of a ripe mashed banana (about 1/2 cup) 1 tsp of cinnamon 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract 1/8 tsp of baking powder 1 scoop of @rootznutrition protein In a small bowl mix together all wet ingredients & slowly start adding the coconut flour, protein, & other fry ingredients. With a hand mixer blend everything together. Let batter sit for a few mins for the batter to thicken. Cook pancakes over @fourthandheart Madagascar vanilla ghee. Makes about 5-6 pancakes. 🥦🧀Sunday Dinner🧀🥦⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Bulk cooked a delicious dish of my healthy version of leeks in cheese sauce for dinner tonight. Roasted some rainbow carrots from @waitroseandpartners and steamed some tenderstem broccoli to have with it. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Serves 3⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Ingredients ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3 leeks ⁣⁣ 1 x 180g tub light Philadelphia ⁣⁣ 150ml @alpro almond milk ⁣⁣ 1 tbsp cornflour ⁣⁣ 2 tsp wholegrain mustard ⁣⁣ @eatlean cheese⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Method⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1. Slice the leeks and simmer in boiling water for 10 minutes.⁣⁣ ⁣ 2. While the leeks cook, put the Philadelphia and mustard in a pan and gradually whisk in the milk.⁣⁣ ⁣ 3. Mix the cornflour with a little milk then whisk into the cheese sauce.⁣⁣ ⁣ 4. Mix the leeks into the sauce and put in an oven proof dish.⁣⁣ ⁣ 5. Can you tell what each of these meal have besides protein and veggies?...Carbs. The answer is CARBS. Carbs DO NOT make you fat. You need them just like every other food element, vitamin, intake, etc. If there is one thing I learned is that without carbs, your energy is pretty much nonexistent. OF COURSE picking out carbs that are high in sugar, sodium, calories are not the same as its opposite of carbs that have low sugar, sodium and calories. Eat yo carbs, read yo nutrition facts label and don't restrict yourself soooo much on the element that gives you the energy throughout your day. It is not entirely necessary. Meal prep Sunday complete! ×Turkey patties on top of 1/2 cup of brown rice, spinach and tomatoes with a drizzle of mustard on the patties. ×Salmon on top of 1/2 cup of brown rice and broccoli (a staple favorite) ×Turkey sausage and veggie scramble with green, red, yellow and orange bell peppers and zucchini with 1 cup of brown rice (another favorite) ×Whole grain Rotini pasta with shredded chicken and low sodium pasta sauce with broccoli. Not pictured are breakfast and dinner. For dinner, since the bf and I get home by 5:30 PM, we cook it at home. Whatever is leftover, we save it for another meal prep. Pretty much we are meal prepping almost every day, but its honestly not that hard. This meal prep pictured is for work and will last for 3 days. ****oh and this cost us 82 dollars from grocery shopping. And there is still uncooked beef and a pack of chicken breasts in the fridge. In that case, you could very well enjoy a small amount on a nightly basis and still reach your goal.⁣ ⁣ Where things might get a bit more tricky is if you are going all out on the weekends and ⁣having so many drinks that you get drunk.⁣ ⁣ The biggest issue with social drinking is that it lowers inhibitions and increases your appetite for high calorie foods. And let’s be honest, how many times has your drinking happened along side nothing more than a salad?⁣ ⁣ Drinking frequently can impair both performance and recovery from exercise, meaning you won’t be able to train with as hard or possibly as frequently, which can impact your rate of strength and muscle gain.⁣ ⁣ Alcohol also disrupts sleep quality, which could be an issue if you’re drinking every night. Who wants some ramen?! 🍜 The final instalment of the Japanese series is here! This recipe is made with my partner in crime (aka my most used hand model Ben). Since ramen was the first meal my boy ever made me I had to get his hand on making the broth....Think a rich mushroomy miso base with seaweed, all the veggies, sesame & tofu. One of the reasons I love ramen is because you can add whatever you want into it as long as you have the broth component set 👌🏻. My personal fave has to be udon, bok choy, mushrooms, tofu & all the pickled daikon 😍 (I legit can eat an entire block as a snack...).
